The service
Toolbench provides free browser-based utilities for compressing images, editing PDF files and generating QR codes. The tools run on your device. We provide the software; we do not process, receive or store your files.
Your files and your rights in them
You keep all rights in the files you process. We claim no licence over them and receive no copy of them. You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to any file you use these tools on.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to:
- Process material you do not have the right to process
- Create content that is unlawful, deceptive, or infringes someone else's rights
- Generate QR codes that lead to malware, phishing pages, or other harmful destinations
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
- Scrape, mirror, or redistribute the site's code or content without permission
No warranty
The tools are provided “as is”. We work hard to make them correct, but we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always keep a copy of your original files. Compression is lossy and cannot be undone.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Toolbench is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Because the tools run on your device and we never hold your files, responsibility for your data remains with you.
Advertising and third parties
This site displays advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or the sites they lead to.
Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue any tool at any time, and may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
